Data has evolved dramatically in recent years, in type, volume, and velocity – with its rapid evolution attributed to the widespread digitisation of business processes globally. Data has become the new business currency and its further rapid increase will be key to the transformation and growth of business globally. Big Data has a far-reaching impact and meaning. In this year’s CAISS Annual Conference, industry leaders will get together to discuss the trend of big data and what it means to the data storage industry.

Keynote Speaker:
DON JEANETTE is Vice President, TRENDFOCUS, is leading NAND/SSD work and is a major contributor to our SSD and HDD research in Cloud, Hyperscale, & Enterprise and Storage Demand Analysis System programs. Prior to joining TRENDFOCUS, Don was Toshiba’s Sr. Director of Marketing, responsible for storage products marketing and new business development for Toshiba’s SSDs and HDDs in the Americas. He brings over 20 years experience in marketing and product management background, including marketing support for OEM, data center, and distribution sales, product planning and roadmap alignment. Don joined Toshiba in October 2009 with the acquisition of Fujitsu’s HDD business. He started at Fujitsu in 1999 and worked in various roles, including business development and marketing, addressing various market segments including mobile, enterprise, desktop storage, as well as various emerging markets. Don has also served as a SCSI Trade Association board member. Prior to joining Toshiba, Don’s experience includes marketing positions with Marvell and Infoseek. Don received a Bachelor’s Degree from Central Connecticut State University and an MBA from San Jose State University. Don has also taught Management, Communication, and Ethics courses at the University of Phoenix.
Keynote Speaker:
Christopher Bergey is the Senior Vice President of Devices Product Marketing and Management at Western Digital responsible for the Data Center, Client Compute, Embedded, and Mobility product offerings. Bergey’s charter is to lead Western Digital’s devices product portfolio, from definition and strategy to concept and customer acceptance.
Previously, Bergey was Vice President for Embedded and Integrated Systems (EIS) at Western Digital, focused on developing and driving product strategies in mobile and compute, as well as new markets including automotive, connected home, smart city and industrial IoT market segments.
Prior to joining Western Digital in 2014, Bergey has held multiple executive positions including VP of Marketing at Luxtera, VP of Mobile and Wireless at Broadcom, and Director of VLSI marketing at the Multilink Technology Corporation.
Bergey holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Drexel University and a Master of Business Administration in Finance and Economics from the University of Maryland.
